Liam Gallagher set for musical comeback

Liam Gallagher is heading back into the studio to record new songs.
The 43-year-old singer has decided to stop waiting for his older brother Noel Gallagher to agree to reunite Oasis and has decided to make music on his own.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The penny has finally dropped with Liam … His friends are pleased as he’s finally got something to aim for now he’s given up on an Oasis reunion."
The ‘Some Might Say’ hitmaker has also teased his plans on his Twitter account, posting: "Lots of exciting things happening time to get back in ring give us a call ROVER LG x (sic)"
Oasis broke up in August 2009 when Noel walked out on the group following a furious backstage bust-up with his sibling, which ended with Liam swinging a guitar at his brother’s head.
Noel, 48, has gone on to release two critically and commercially successful solo albums under the name Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, while Liam formed new band Beady Eye with fellow former Oasis members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock.
After releasing two albums they disbanded in October 2014 and since then Liam has not released any new music.
Liam has endured a tough last several months from a legal perspective, finalising his divorce from Nicole Appleton and sorting out child maintenance payments with American journalist Liza Ghorbani for the daughter he fathered with her.
But the wild rocker – who also has another daughter, Molly, 18, from a fling with Lisa Moorish, son Lennon, 16, with his ex-wife Patsy Kensit and son Gene, 14, with All Saints singer Nicole – stepped back into the showbiz world last weekend when he attended the Cannes Film festival with his girlfriend Debbie Gwyther to promote Asif Kapadia’s Oasis documentary ‘Supersonic’.
One man who is sure Liam will come back "big" is Oasis’ former manager Alan McGee.
Speaking at the Ivor Novello Awards held at the Grosvenor House hotel in London on Thursday (19.05.16), he told BANG Showbiz: "Liam is a genius and when he’s ready he’ll do something. He’s a good enough songwriter. He wrote a lot in Oasis and he was unlucky with Beady Eye – their song ‘Flick of the Finger’ was great and he wrote that. I know that dude he will come back and he will come back and come back big. I love Liam – he knows I love him."
