Liam Gallagher rules out new Oasis music

Liam Gallagher has seemingly ruled out the prospect of Oasis releasing new music.

The Roll With It rockers brought their long-awaited Oasis Live ’25 Tour to a close with gigs in Sao Paulo, Brazil last weekend but the frontman has dismissed the possibility of fresh material from the Britpop icons.

In response to a fan asking for new music, Liam wrote on the social media platform X: “New music is for W******.”

The 53-year-old rocker later elaborated: “It’s not, I honestly don’t see the point. It won’t be as good as the old stuff. I’m quite happy singing the old stuff I’m not one of those w****** that need to keep pushing it forward or sideways or backwards in some cases, NOSTALGIA forever.”

Despite ruling out new music, Liam hinted that Oasis could hit the road again in 2026 for a European tour.

When asked “what he wanted for Christmas” by a follower on X, he responded: “A European tour.”

In a separate post, the Supersonic artist quipped when a fan asked if he’d get in trouble for commenting about a European tour: “I’m allowed to dream just like you I’m mad for OASIS touring Europe it’ll be BIBLICAL I love Europe it’s my favourite country.”

The Oasis Live ’25 Tour marked the first time that Liam and Noel Gallagher had performed on stage together after 16 years of feuding and the Don’t Look Back in Anger artists are to embark on a “period of reflection” following the end of their 41-date tour.

Oasis wrote on Instagram: “And so it came to pass.

“The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history’ found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation. From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.

“There will now be a pause for a period of reflection.

Oasis”

It has been reported that Oasis are exploring plans to release a greatest hits album and perform more shows together.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Noel and Liam will both be taking a long break to compute the magnitude of this tour.

“Being back together on stage has been incredible for both of them, and to have guitarist Bonehead back with them for the last shows has been nothing short of phenomenal.

“They’re aware of what their fans want and know the demand would be there if they did decide to put out a new greatest hits album – or to play more shows.”
