Liam Gallagher claims Noel has threatened to sue him over As It Was documentary

Liam Gallagher has alleged that his brother Noel "will sue him" if he uses concert footage of himself performing Oasis songs in his upcoming documentary ‘As It Was’.
The 46-year-old singer has taken to Twitter to claim that he has received correspondence sent on behalf of Noel, 51, and his management company Ignition that he will face legal action if he includes footage of him singing the tracks recorded when they were both in their former band.
Liam tweeted: "Ive just been informed that I’ll be sued by the not so mighty little fella and his goons at ignition if I use any footage of me singing oasis yes oasis songs in AS IT WAS who’s bitter now eh ps Dya want a hand selling those tickets AS YOU WERE LG x (sic)"
The documentary – which has been directed by Charlie Lightening, who helmed Liam’s video for ‘Chinatown’ and worked with his former group Beady Eye – will focus on Liam’s journey from "boredom, booze and legal battles" to solo star with the release of his debut solo LP ‘As You Were’ and subsequent sold-out global concerts.
It is believed to contain footage from his numerous sold-out concerts, such as when he performed at Finsbury Park in London, and various festival appearances.
Liam previously said: "’As It Was’ is a documentary about my musical comeback. It covers the writing and recording of my first solo album, right through to playing it live for the very first time in my hometown of Manchester and around the world."
On tour, the rock ‘n’ roll star included numerous Oasis songs that were written by Noel and sung and recorded by him in the studio such as ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Be Here Now’, ‘Supersonic’, ‘Listen Up’ and ‘Slide Away’.
Noel previously claimed that he didn’t care that Liam was singing his songs at his gigs because gets paid royalties whenever his little brother performs Oasis songs that he penned.
The guitarist previously said: "I look at it philosophically. I’m here doing my thing, he’s out there also doing my thing. You know, he’s promoting my records, and as long as he keeps filling out the little form at the end of every gig, ticking off the songs that I wrote, it’s all good."
Representatives for Noel had "no comment" when BANG Showbiz contacted them regarding Liam’s legal claim.
