Liam Gallagher admits Oasis are yet to discuss their plans past the Oasis Live ’25 tour

Liam Gallagher has admitted Oasis need to “sit down and discuss” whether they will continue past their Oasis Live ’25 tour.

The Britpop legend has been teasing fans that the Supersonic group’s first run in 16 years will extend beyond this year, but now he has admitted that, as much as he’d like to keep it rolling “till the day we die”, he and his bandmates need to have that conversation yet.

When one X user asked if he had been “scolded” by anyone for promising that he would “see you next year”, Liam admitted he had received “a few tuts and raised eyebrows.”

He then explained that it could mean he’s back on the road with his solo band, rather than Oasis.

Liam told another fan: “You will see me next year and the year after and so on just not sure yet if it’ll be with Oasis we need to sit down and discuss these things if it was all up to me then you know we’d be touring till the day we die as it’s the best thing in the world but UNFORTUNATELY it’s not.”

The trek, which began in July, is due to wrap up in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 23.

An X user recently asked Liam: “how do you feel about the tour being almost over william? all i know is you guys should def be so proud of yourselves for accomplishing a sold out and flawlessssss WORLD tour after not playing as a band for over a decade like cmooonnnnn nobody does it like you guys. (sic)”

Liam replied: “It’s only starting.”

Oasis fans were recently given the strongest hint yet that the band may return to Knebworth for a huge run of gigs next summer.

There has been much discussion about the possibility that the band may continue their successful run by returning to Knebworth House in Hertfordshire in 2026 to mark 30 years since they played their two record-breaking gigs there back in 1996.

And, fans were given a huge hint after a member of the UK’s House of Lords – Lady Taylor of Stevenage – talked about the band in the chamber in October, telling the house: “Next July, I will have the benefit of five days of Oasis concerts in the fantastic venue of Knebworth House, which is just about a mile away from my house.

“I can hear and enjoy [the gigs] from my house, and they represent the important cultural role of music venues and … make an enormous contribution to our economy.”

However, Lady Taylor later clarified her comments, telling the Guardian newspaper: “I was speaking hypothetically following speculation that they would play Knebworth again as they did in August 1996. I understand the band have not confirmed this.”

It came after Liam claimed they were only halfway through the reunion run.

After a fan asked why the 2002 track The Hindu Times – the lead single from their chart-topping fifth studio album Heathen Chemistry – didn’t make the setlist for the Britpop legends’ first tour in 16 years, Liam appeared to suggest the jaunt would extend beyond the current final date.

He replied: “Chill Winston it’s not even HALF TIME yet. It’s a tour of 2 half’s (sic).”
