Leonardo DiCaprio to star in and produce The Black Hand

Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly set to star in and produce an adaptation of Stephan Talty’s book ‘The Black Hand’.
The Oscar-winning actor is being eyed by Paramount to play the central role in the upcoming movie, which tells the story of a group of new immigrant criminals in New York City who prey on people in lower Manhattan.
The group leave a calling card with the figure of a Black Hand at the scene of their crimes throughout the summer of 1903.
DiCaprio is set to feature as Detective Joseph Petrosino, who was otherwise known as the Italian Sherlock Holmes’, and he is also poised to co-produce ‘The Black Hand’ through his Appian Way banner, according to Variety.
Meanwhile, DiCaprio’s memorable on-screen smooch with Kate Winslet in ‘Titanic’ was recently voted the best film kiss of all time.
The Hollywood duo famously locked lips as their characters Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater as they stood on the bow of the doomed passenger liner in James Cameron’s epic 1997 disaster movie.
And earlier this month, the tender moment topped a poll conducted by TV channel TLC to find people’s favourite cinematic snog.
Jack and Rose kiss on the front deck shortly after Rose utters the famous line "I’m flying" with her arms spread wide open, Jack then joins Rose in the embrace, and as he holds her tight, they kiss.
A spokesman for TLC, who conducted the poll of 2,000 British adults, said: "Kisses are such a big part of movies so it’s fascinating to see which ones have had the biggest impact.
"For many people, their first experience of a ‘proper’ kiss is likely to have been seeing one on screen. So perhaps respondents had a sense of nostalgia when it came to voting for their favourites."
