Lena Headey wants to star in a comedy.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress has revealed that while landing the role of Cersei in the HBO drama was a "blessing", she wants to show fans that she’s capable of playing a range of very different parts.
She shared: "I’m getting more offers to play similar kinds of characters, but I would also like to do a comedy. Most of my friends would tell you that I have a very humorous side and it would be wonderful if I finally had the chance to show my funny nature in a movie."
The 41-year-old star – who has five-year-old son Wylie with ex-husband Peter Loughran and is now expecting a baby girl – also confessed she can’t understand why she’s only just shot to fame after taking on her first acting job at the age of 17.
She told HELLO! magazine: "It’s been extraordinary, although you do wonder why it’s taken so long. You have to be persistent in this business. No one really gives you anything and there’s a lot of luck involved. I’ve played in films I thought would lead to bigger and better things, then nothing happens.
"In a way, it’s all been a blessing for me. I have a son to look after and I feel that the best part of my life is happening now."
