Lena Dunham compares Girls end to break-up

Lena Dunham admitted the end of ‘Girls’ was "sadder than any break-up" she’s been through.
The 30-year-old creator-and-actress knew the time was right to end the show but she still felt heartbroken when filming wrapped for the final time.
Speaking on ‘Inside The Actors Studio’, she said: "At a certain point girls become women, and that’s not the story that we set out to tell…
"[Ending it was] like the worst thing ever. It was sadder than any break-up. We’re all done."
And Lena – who is in a relationship with musician Jack Antonoff – admitted her bond with fellow producers Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner is like nothing she shares with anyone else.
She said: "I believe that a collaborative relationship is even more delicate than a romantic relationship – it’s even more delicate than a parent-child relationship.
"It requires true trust because there’s nothing keeping you there but your desire to make art together, and that is a really really sacred bond that has to be taken seriously, and treated with the love and respect that you treat any relationship."
Meanwhile, Allison Williams – who plays Marnie Michaels – admitted she was "so emotional" during her final scene with Lena, but producers feared she would "break down" if they reshot the moment.
She said: "I remember the most emotional moment I had was the last time I made eye contact with Lena as Hannah.
"It was so emotional that they were like, ‘We need another take but we’re not gonna get it because Allison’s gonna break down, so let’s call it a day.;
"We had to play these people for the last time, maybe ever."
