Len Goodman thinks Ed Balls left at right time

Len Goodman thinks it would have been an "injustice" if Ed Balls was still in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 72-year-old head judge admits the former politician was a "fun" contestant on this year’s show but thinks it is right that he and dance partner Katya Jones bowed out from the competition last weekend as there are much better dancers left.
He said: "Poor old Ed, he was great, he was so much fun. I bumped into him just before we went on and I shouldn’t have said it, but I said, ‘You’ve been like a cat with nine lives, it’s week 10, its time.’
"We British love an underdog but we get to a point we know justice is more important and it would have been an injustice if one of those [other contestants] left and he had stayed."
Len thinks the standard for this year’s competition is very high and he can’t figure out which of the remaining celebrity contestants, Ore Oduba, Danny Mac, Louise Redknapp, Judge Rinder, or Claudia Fragapane, will take the Glitterball Trophy.
But whoever takes the crown this year, Len – who is judging the series for the last time thinks they will be a worthy winner.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, he said: "This is what’s great this year, usually I’ve got an idea, but should it be Louise, should it be Danny Mac, should it be Ore, Claudia, Judge Rinder? It’s so close. This is the first year I can hand on heart say that whoever wins is alright with me, because it’s been such a great series."
