Lea Michele and Matthew Paetz have an "open type of relationship".
The ‘Glee’ actress and her new beau are keen to take their romance slowly by getting to know one another gradually, but without the commitment of being an item.
A source told ABC News: "They’re dating! Nothing too serious but they’re really happy. They have a very honest and open type of relationship. They share everything and support each other in any way possible."
The 27-year-old star was left devastated by the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith last year, and Matthew is doing everything he can to support her.
The source explained: "There have been no surprises for Lea at all in this relationship. They make each other really happy. He’s very calm but also very protective and he’s very doting of her. They’re a great team."
The pair – who met on the set of Lea’s ‘On My Way’ music video earlier this year – were recently spotted enjoying a romantic picnic date in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, the duo’s budding romance was rocked last month following reports the hunk was a gigolo, who, until recently, offered his companionship to lonely women through online service Cowboys4Angels.
However, the brunette beauty reportedly confronted him over the rumours and he insisted he was a certified life coach, dating expert and massage therapist.
