Lauren Pope: Pete and Megan saved TOWIE

Lauren Pope thinks Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna have "saved" ‘The Only Way is Essex’ from turning into a flop with their recent infidelity drama.
The 34-year-old reality TV star – who left the ITVBe series in 2015 – has been gripped by the turbulent couple’s slanging matches on screen and is convinced the programme may have started to go down hill if their relationship woes hadn’t been the focus.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I love watching Pete and Megan on ‘TOWIE’, I think they have been a bit of a saviour for the show as not much happened this series. I hope they stay together and work things out as they are great together."
And, although she’s worried about the future of the show, Lauren has no plans to return to the programme that made her famous five years ago because she’s "too busy" focusing on her hair extensions company Hair Rehab London and other ventures.
She said when asked if she’d return to ‘TOWIE’: "I never say never but for now I’m happy away from the drama! Anyway, I’m too busy taking over the world of business right now to be able to keep up with everything that goes on in Essex!"
Lauren decided to turn her back on the show after she was humiliated by Lewis Bloor when he dumped her because she was "too old" but, despite the negative energy between them, they’ve now made up and she’s thrilled he’s with Marnie Simpson.
She said: "I haven’t seen Lewis since the summer but were friendly now and I hope he and Marnie are happy together – they look like a cute couple."
