Laura Whitmore’s mum ships her Cadbury chocolate from Ireland

Laura Whitmore gets her mother to ship bars of Cadbury chocolate over from Ireland in her suitcase.

The 35-year-old television presenter is backing a new Cadbury Crunchy Honeycomb bar to be made, if it wins this year’s Cadbury Inventor 2020 competition, so that she will no longer have to ask her mum to bring Cadbury’s Golden Crisp chocolate bars over from the Emerald Isle, as the treats are not available in England.

She said: "I’m the first to admit I have a sweet tooth! So, I have chosen to couple up Shannon’s Dairy Milk Crunchy Honeycomb as it’s filled with a combination of my favourite ingredients – Cadbury Dairy Milk, golden honeycomb, chunks of caramel flavoured fudge and chopped hazelnuts.

"Cadbury do a golden crisp bar in Ireland but it’s not available in the UK, so if it wins I won’t have to ask my mother to bring the bars over in her suitcase as we’ll have the Dairy Milk Crunchy Honeycomb on the supermarket shelves here in the UK.

"If everyone votes for Crunchy Honeycomb, I’ll be so happy I’ll dress as a honey bee and Irish dance to celebrate! Yaaas Queen (Bee)!"

The ‘Love Island’ presenter is going head-to-head with Capital DJ Roman Kemp and Diversity star Ashley Banjo to get the nation behind their chosen chocolate bars in hopes their favoured flavour will be sold in stores.

While Laura supports Shannon’s Cadbury Dairy Milk Crunchy Honeycomb, Roman will be backing Gillian’s Cadbury Dairy Milk Coconutty and Ashley will be championing Taylor’s Cadbury Dairy Milk Out of the Blueberry.

Each one will complete a winning task in order to get their chosen bar in stores.

Laura will dress up as a bumblebee and dance to a traditional Irish jig, Roman will partake in an extreme coconut milk fight and Ashley promises to dye his hair completely blue.

To apply for 2021’s Cadbury Inventor competition, head over to the www.cadburyinventor.com website to submit your chocolatey creation which might last on supermarket shelves!
