Laura Anderson isn’t ‘smug’ over Megan and Wes split

Laura Anderson doesn’t feel "any smugness at all" about Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson’s split.
The former ‘Love Island’ contestant was Wes’ original partner on the ITV2 show before he dumped her in pursuit of Megan, but the 29-year-old star has insisted that it’s a "shame and it’s sad" the pair have now gone their separate ways.
Speaking to the MailOnline, she said: "I don’t feel any smugness at all; we were never in a proper relationship anyway.
"It’s a shame and it’s sad that they split. They loved each other. But I am not close or particularly friendly with them. And so I don’t know all the details.
"I don’t know who did the dumping, for example
"All I know is that he’s busy, she’s busy. They are both beautiful and I’m sure will be successful. What was meant to be will be."
Megan and Wes aren’t the only ‘Love Island’ couple to recently call time on their relationship.
Last week, Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel called time on their romance – but former air stewardess Laura admitted it was a "shock" when she heard they had called it quits.
She said: "With them, it was a shock. I am close with Kaz and both still love each other. It’s a difficult one.
"They mutually, between them, decided to split. I don’t know what that means for their future, and I know that it was a difficult choice. I adore both of them, and I know they’re okay."
Adam Collard and Zara McDermott, and the show’s winners, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, are the only couples who remain together.
Laura Crane and Jack Fowler split last August, whilst both Samira Mighty and Frankie Foster, and Laura and Paul Knopps called it quits shortly after leaving the villa.
Georgia Steel and Sam Bird also split last year, as did Charlie Brake and Ellie Brown.
