Lady Gaga’s album is ‘classic and futuristic’

Lady Gaga’s producer says her new album is a mixture of "classic" and "futuristic" sounds.
Moroccan-Swedish producer RedOne – who has worked with the singer since her 2008 debut LP ‘The Fame’ – has revealed the ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker has completed a total of eight tracks for her eagerly-anticipated fourth studio album and that the sound is still the same Gaga we all know and love.
Asked what we can expect from the record, RedOne – whose real name is Nadir Khayat – said: "It’s a mixture of classic music and futuristic too – I didn’t want to go too far from what she is. We kept it [similar to] what Gaga is what she’s done all these years. It’s special.
"All I know is that we did eight great songs so far, and I think we have incredible songs."
RedOne says it was always the plan to make sure the 28-year-old beauty’s music was unlike anything anyone else has done before and he truly believes her song ‘Just Dance’ changed dance music’s landscape.
Talking about the first time he met the pop superstar, he told PEOPLE magazine: "And when we did ‘Just Dance’ and all the music we were doing, it was different; it was special. I wanted to break a new sound. I didn’t want to follow every producer that was doing the same thing. And I did that sound, and it worked, and it changed music in the world. Dance music broke after that."
Gaga has also worked with superstar DJ Mark Ronson on the record and he’s been teaching the pop star how to play guitar.
He previously said: "She’s never played guitar in public before. She’s great on piano but guitar is something she is learning for this record. And she just smashed it. I showed her things and she’s such a fast learner and as a performer her charisma is insane so she could have carried it anyway."
The currently untitled album is the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Artpop’.
