Labrinth loves watching ‘Come Dine With Me’.
The ‘Let It Be’ hitmaker has declared his love for the Channel 4 reality show – which sees amateur chefs hosting dinner parties in an attempt to win a cash prize – admitting it is his "guilty pleasure".
Speaking at the BBC Music Awards in London last night (11.12.14), he said: "We drove over watching ‘Come Dine With Me’ because this guy had a TV in his car. That show man, I don’t know why, it’s a guilty pleasure. I just have to watch it."
However, the musician – who performed a duet with ‘Ghost’ singer Ella Henderson at the televised event – said he thinks the show is awful, but can’t stop watching it because he finds the programme’s narrator, Dave Lamb, hilarious.
He continued: "But it’s really bad, it’s trash TV but I love it. I think if they didn’t have that commentator though I wouldn’t watch it. He’s the best."
Despite finding the cookery programme entertaining, he vowed never to appear on it himself because he is a terrible chef.
When asked if he would like to compete on the celebrity version, he joked: "Nah. With my cooking I’d probably kill everyone, just burning down the house."
