Labrinth and Ella Henderson set for BBC Music Awards duet


Labrinth and Ella Henderson will duet at the BBC Music Awards next month.

The ‘Let It Be’ hitmaker and former ‘The X Factor’ contestant will collaborate for a special performance at the ceremony on December 11, which will award prizes to the highest achievers in music from the past 12 months.

Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton will host the inaugural event – which will be broadcast live on BBC One, Radio 1 and Radio 2 – presenting awards including British Artist of the Year, International Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Talking about the star-studded ceremony last month, Chris said: "Every year is a marvellous year for music in the UK and 2014 has been no exception.

"We shall gratefully be tipping our hats to those whose lights have shone brightest and whose music has helped water the inner flowers of our souls, hearts and minds over the last 12 months. Call it a review with prizes, or a show full of surprises, I cannot wait."

The pair will join other artists who have been confirmed for performances at the Earls Court ceremony, including ‘Steal My Girl’ hitmakers One Direction, DJ Calvin Harris and ‘Thinking Out Loud’ crooner Ed Sheeran.

The crowd of 13,500 attendees will also be treated to live tracks from Coldplay, Clean Bandit and Paloma Faith, with further acts to be announced in the run up to the ceremony.
