Kym Marsh’s ‘stressful’ Christmas move

Kym Marsh had a "stressful" Christmas moving house.
The 42-year-old actress – who has three kids, David, 23, Emilie, 21, and seven-year-old Polly – says shifting her stuff to her new abode in Warrington, Cheshire over the festive period with her children and boyfriend Scott Ratcliff was tough, but being in her property to start the new year is "wonderful".
The singer-turned-actress said: "Being settled in my new home for the start of 2019 feels wonderful.
"But I’m not going to lie, the move over Christmas was a bit stressful and we’re still surrounded by boxes, but I love my new home and so do the kids.
"Due to the nature of both mine and Scott’s work, I don’t know where we’ll be in the future, so I won’t say it’s my forever home.
"Also when the kids fly the nest, which is inevitable in the next few years, I will downsize but I can see us staying here for quite a while yet."
The brunette star – who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap – has promised she will make more time to pamper herself this year so she can become less of a "stress head".
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she said: "Normally, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but I’ve changed my mind for 2019.
"I’m naturally a bit of a stress head and I tend to put everyone before myself, so my resolution is that I’m going to start doing things for me a little more, which will also help with my stress levels.
"I’ve decided that I’m going to do at least one thing a week that’s positive and makes me happy – whether that’s buying myself a bunch of flowers or having a manicure.
"My hopes for the new year are that my children are all healthy and happy, and I’m looking forward to welcoming Emilie’s baby boy into the family in May."
