Kym Marsh will "never" scatter her son’s ashes.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress and ex-husband Jamie Lomas were left devastated when their premature baby Archie died shortly after he was born six years ago and the 38-year-old beauty will always keep her little boy’s remains with her.
Asked if she would scatter his ashes, she said: "No, I’ll never do that. We didn’t know what he would have liked – if he’d have loved the football or the seaside, say – so we didn’t know where to scatter them.
"All I know is that he was meant to come home with me, so that is where he’ll stay."
Kym – who also has kids Emilie, 17, and David, 19, from a previous relationship and three-year-old Polly with Jamie – thinks it is important to keep Archie’s memory alive and always marks the anniversary of his death.
She told OK! magazine: "Each year we light a candle and put it next to the box containing his ashes and the framed picture of his footprints that I keep on the mantelpiece in my bedroom.
"In the evening, Dan [Hooper, fiance], Emilie and David and I set off a lantern in the garden at the same time as Archie was born, 9.41pm.
"Polly was in bed by then but she knew it was his birthday, she gave the ashes box a little kiss.
"She says Archie is her brother that lives with the angels. She doesn’t fully understand yet because she’s too little, but we wanted her to know his name and who he is because it’s important to us as a family to keep his spirit alive."
