Kym Marsh is planning a winter wedding.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who plays pub landlady Michelle Connor in the ITV soap – recently got engaged to personal trainer Dan Hooper and has revealed they’re planning on tying the knot later this year.
She said: "We haven’t set a date yet but we’d like to get married next winter. I think it’ll be romantic as it’s a beautiful time of year and we both love Christmas. And, let’s face it, you know it’s going to be freezing so you don’t have to worry about the weather! It gives us a good year to be together and plan it."
The 38-year-old star – who was previously married to former ‘EastEnders’ actors Jack Ryder and Jamie Lomas – claims she’s not bothered by criticism of her getting married for a third time as she knows Dan is "The One".
Kym – who has 19-year-old son David and 17-year-old daughter Emilie from a previous relationship and three-year-old daughter Polly with Jamie – told OK! magazine: "This is the most certain I’ve ever been of anyone.
"I’ve been in previous long-term relationships and because I have been in relationships where things haven’t been right, I know what I’m looking at – I’ve met someone where everything seems right and that’s why I know Dan’s The One."
And Dan – who has four-year-old daughter Lexi Grace from his relationship with ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Stephanie Waring – insists they’re not interested in what people have to say because they’re "truly happy".
He added: "People have their opinions but they’re on the outside looking in and we’re truly happy and that’s all that counts."
