Kym Marsh grieves for ‘wonderful friend’ David Gest

Kym Marsh has posted an emotional poem in tribute to her late friend David Gest.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress was close friends for several years with the concert promoter, who tragically was found dead at the age of 62 on Tuesday (12.04.16) in his room at the Four Seasons hotel in Canary Wharf in London.
Kym has now taken to Twitter to remember her larger-than-life friend with touching verses about loss and grief.
Accompanied by the tweet "I will miss you my wonderful friend. Sleep tight", she posted an image of the poem which read: "Those special memories of you will always bring a smile / if I only I could have you back for just a little while / Then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do / you always meant so very much and always will do too / The fact that you’re no longer here will always cause me pain / but you’re forever in my heart until we meet again (sic)"
David would often refer to Kym, 39, as his "little sister" and she was due to join him on his ‘David Gest Is Not Dead But Alive With Soul Tour’ at the end of the run of concerts for a party and charity auction.
Kerry Katona has also paid tribute to David, describing him as a "Peter Pan" like character who provided her with some "amazing memories".
During an interview on TV show ‘This Morning’, 35-year-old Kerry said: "David was one of my best friends. He was like Peter Pan, he was like an 18-year-old boy in a 62 year old’s body. I’ve had some of my most amazing experiences and most amazing memories because of David. He took me to Memphis for 12 days, it was hard work, but it was fun. The shock of losing David has been massive. I’m absolutely devastated. I think he’s going to call me up and say it’s a joke. He would ring me at least twice a week."
David’s passing is not being treated as suspicious and it is believed he died from natural causes as he had not been in the best health for the past two years.
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star – who was life-long friends with Michael Jackson – is expected to be laid to rest in York, the English city where he lived for almost a decade.
