Kym Marsh finding co-parenting ‘challenging’ during coronavirus lockdown

Kym Marsh is finding co-parenting "stressful" during the coronavirus lockdown.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ admitted it is "challenging" because she knows both parents should have the right to see their kid, and insisted it was "only right" that her nine-year-old daughter went to stay with her dad, ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Jamie Lomas, recently after he hadn’t seen her for a few weeks.
She said: "I’m currently child-free as my daughter Polly went to stay with her dad.
"She hadn’t seen him in a few weeks and it was his birthday.
"So it was only right she got to spend time with him. It is stressful, though.
"Co-parenting is challenging in these circumstances because while both parents should have the right to see their child, it’s nerve-wracking for a child to go between households.
"I just want her to be safe."
Kym also confessed she is finding home schooling "tough", and is looking forward to when her partner, Scott Ratcliff, can help her out when he returns from his army tour of Afghanistan.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she added: "While I miss her so much when she’s away, I do get a tiny break from home schooling.
"I’m finding that so tough, as I know many parents are.
"Polly struggles with learning from home as she doesn’t have the same environment and routine she has at school.
"Once Scott is back from his tour of Afghanistan next month, he can help me out."
Kym recently admitted she would feel "nervous" sending her daughter to school if they reopen before the summer holidays, which has been speculated about recently.
She said: "It was revealed last week that teachers are demanding clarity from the government over claims that schools could reopen before the summer holidays, and not in September like originally thought.
"As a parent, the idea of sending my daughter Polly back to school so soon makes makes me nervous. Is that the safe thing to do?"
