Kylie Minogue gets staff to approve dates

Kylie Minogue is very careful about who she dates.

The ‘Sexercise’ hitmaker, who split from Andres Velencoso last year after five years together, has revealed she gets her staff to meet any potential suitors before she agrees to go out with them.

The 45-year-old star told the UK’s ‘The Graham Norton Show’ on Friday (04.04.14): "I work a lot and I have a team, my people, and there are a few whispers down the corridor and it’s stuff like that. It’s not vetting, but you kind of have to have your eyes open."

She added: "It’s as awkward for me as it is for anyone."

The Australian star appeared on the BBC chat show alongside Russell Crowe and Cameron Diaz, who is also careful when it comes to romance.

The ‘The Other Woman’ star, who was previously in long-term relationships with Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto and Matt Dillon, said: "I try to keep everything discreet until I figure out whether or not it’s something I want to take into the world in any way."

Kylie recently admitted she cried herself to sleep every night after splitting from Andres.

But she added: "Thankfully, Andres and I are still in touch. Obviously, not like we used to be… he’s a great guy, and that’s important … I’m enjoying that I’m so distracted. I’m not sitting at home pining."
