Kristofer Hivju to star in Fast and Furious 8

Kristofer Hivju is reportedly set to star in ‘Fast 8’.
The 37-year-old star – who is known for portraying Tormund Giantsbane in ‘Game of Thrones’ – is being lined up to play a henchman in the forthcoming film franchise who fancies his chances against buff hunk Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel).
Details surrounding the plot are being kept tightly under wraps until nearer the release date next year, although the cast has already started shooting scenes in Iceland.
Meanwhile, there has been talk of Charlize Theron, 40, playing the main villain, although nothing has been confirmed.
However, the film will feature the return of Michelle Rodriguez as she reprises her role as Letty, while Lucas Black and Tyrese Gibson will continue to play Sean and Roman in the next installment, respectively.
Ludacris will also return as Tej, Dwayne Johnson will play Hobbs and Jason Statham will continue as Deckard Shaw.
It was previously confirmed that the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise – which has so far racked seven movies since its inception in 2001 – will run for at least 10 films.
‘Fast 8’ is set to hit the big screen on April 14, 2017.
