Kris Jenner’s talk show has been slammed by a Fox TV executive.
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star had a six-week test run of a talk show on the network last summer, but bosses knew early on that ‘Kris’ would never develop into a full series as they felt the showbiz matriarch was "uninteresting".
Frank Cicha, senior VP and president of programming for the Fox Television Stations said: "I think she was pretty uninteresting [on camera].
"That was one where [sister company] 20th Television tried to capitalise on a name. … When the camera was on she looked not just like a deer in the headlights, but like a deer that already got hit."
However, the executive admitted Kris worked hard and improved as the series went on, but the show never did well in the ratings – until the final show when son-in-law Kanye West was a guest and showed off baby pictures of his daughter North, now 12 months.
Cicha told The Hollywood Reporter: "It wasn’t a disaster in the ratings."
The executive went on to explain ‘Kris’ didn’t fit well with the station group’s schedule and would have been expensive to produce.
He added: "When you added it up, it wasn’t a show that made sense for us."
