Kimberley Walsh’s lottery ticket gift

Kimberley Walsh buys lottery tickets as presents for friends.
The former Girls Aloud singer thinks purchasing her pals a lottery ticket is "quite a nice" gift to give but joked she would hope that they remember who bought it for them.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I don’t play anything religiously, but I quite like buying lottery tickets for other people – I think that’s quite a nice thing to do. Once you’ve done it you’ve done it, you just have to let go. But it would be nice if they were to give you a bit, maybe ten per cent or something."
Kimberley is one of a host of celebrities lending their support to #CelebrateNationalLottery25 – an initiative to boost community spirit and celebrate The National Lottery’s 25th Birthday.
And the 38-year-old singer is keen to highlight the work the lottery does for charitable causes.
She added: "The National Lottery obviously do make millionaires but they also provide a huge amount of funding for charities, community projects, and good causes. They’re the biggest funder of that and people do forget that. They’re providing two million pound fund is obviously part of the National Lottery 25 year celebration and anybody can basically apply for up to £1000 to do something nice for their community and put some sort of community spirit back into their home town. People can go online and apply, it only takes about 15 minutes."
