Kim Kardashian West vying for a role in ‘Downton Abbey’

Kim Kardashian West wants to star in ‘Downton Abbey’.

The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star is reportedly desperate to land a role in the ITV period drama, and resorted to seeking advice from Lady Edith Crawley actress Laura Carmichael, on how best to secure a part.

According to The Sun newspaper, the 33-year-old – who wed rapper Kanye West earlier this year – said: "I’m a big fan. I’d love to be on it if they asked. I love things like that."

The mother-of-one has previously had cameo television roles in ‘Beyond The Break’ and ‘Drop Dead Diva’, and recently filmed scenes for the fourth season of hit CBS comedy ‘2 Broke Girls’.

However, the curvaceous star will be hoping that producers of ‘Downton Abbey’ don’t remember her appearance in the spoof comedy ‘Disaster Movie’ which flopped on its release in 2008.

Last week it was revealed that Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has secured a slot in the award-winning TV show for their Christmas special, but it is uncertain whether producers would be so interested in offering the reality television star a role.

‘Downton Abbey’ will return to UK screens this Sunday, September 21, at 9pm for a fifth series.
