Kim Kardashian West reading spiritual book Embraced By The Light

Kim Kardashian West is reading a book about contacting deceased loved ones.
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star has been on a journey of self-discovery since she was robbed at gunpoint back in October and on Sunday (22.01.17) she settled down with non-fiction tome ‘Embraced By The Light’ and decided to share the book with her followers on Snapchat.
The book documents the author Betty Eadie’s near-death experience at the age of 31 when she was in hospital following an operation and felt a connection to the spirit world.
Eadie has claimed the main purpose of her book, which was published in 1992, is to "reach out to hurting souls and bring comfort to them during hardships, loss of loved ones and to help them establish direction when misdirected through life".
Kim has made no secret of the fact she believes in the afterlife as two years ago she and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian paid a visit to a psychic in the hope that their late father Robert Kardashian, who died in 2003, would contact them.
Khloe said at the time: "I don’t think I could read her palm but I feel energies and spirits really well. I’m not saying, ‘Oh my god, there’s a ghost in the corner!’ But I know when I feel something and I pay that respect."
Kim’s new reading material comes just a couple of months after her husband Kanye West – with whom she has daughter North, three, and 13-month-old son Saint – was hospitalised with mental exhaustion caused by a lack of sleep in November.
The ‘Stronger’ hitmaker’s medical situation came around the same time as the anniversary of his mother Donda’s death in 2007, which is always a difficult period for Kanye.
A source said at the time: "Any time around the holidays is tough for him, he is an only child. But he was very close to his mom, so this time of year … it’s really difficult. Then on top of it, everything that happened with Kim in Paris, the build up to it is a lot, it’s a lot of pressure. Kanye is highly sensitive and highly protective of certain things which doesn’t help. But people are so used to seeing him as a performer or as an icon, they don’t see him as a normal person. Really he is just like we all are, broken and lost and hurt, we all are made of different fragments as human beings."
