Kim Cattrall: Sex and the City 3 has to happen

Kim Cattrall says a third ‘Sex and the City’ film has to happen.
The 59-year-old actress played maneater Samantha Jones is the TV series and two films and she wants the franchise to become a trilogy because everyone, fans and cast, would love a reunion ".
Speaking to Express.co.uk, she said: "Of course there should be a third film! I think we would all love it. I mean, what would the story be?"
And Cattrall isn’t worried about a third outing for the girls being panned by critics – as the second movie was – because she doesn’t entertain negative people.
She added: "To quote Samantha Jones, ‘If I worried about what every bitch said about me I wouldn’t leave the house!’ "
The original HBO series aired from 1998 to 2004 Cattrall and her co-stars – Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte York Goldenblatt) – became household names across the globe due to the antics of the New York City dwelling foursome.
Cattrall believes viewers, especially women, fell in love with the show because the characters represents all aspects of the female psyche.
She mused: "When Samantha is showing off and doing her business and amusing and entertaining everyone, underneath it is fear that she’ll be alone and you start to understand that part of when you do that.
"That’s the relation and I think that the beauty of the show is that those four characters really, I feel, represented one complete woman. Different sides, different moods, different parts of being feminine.
"You can have those moments of any one of those characters and understand them in a more complete way."
