Killing Eve nominated for Rose d’Or Award

‘Killing Eve’ has been nominated at the prestigious Rose d’Or Awards 2019.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s hugely popular spy thriller – which stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Corner as M15 agent Eve Polastri and assassin Villanelle respectively – has been named on the shortlist ahead of the ceremony’s 58th annual celebration, which will be hosted by Sir Lenny Henry at London’s Kings Place on December 1.
The programme finds itself competing in the Drama category alongside ‘Chernobyl’, ‘Years & Years’, ‘Succession’, ‘Escape at Dannemora’ and ‘8 Days: To The Moon And Back’.
The shortlist was voted for by 60 international judges made up of media industry professionals, chaired by ‘The Bridge’ star Sofia Helin.
Speaking about the nominations, she said: "The shortlist for the Rose d’Or awards this year is brilliantly diverse, which reflects the outstanding and varied output of entertainment programming we have seen in the last year across the globe.
"With a record-breaking amount of entries this year, it is an incredibly exciting time for the Rose d’Or Awards as they near their 60th anniversary. Our congratulations to all nominated."
The ceremony honours international excellence in entertainment across 10 categories, as programmes from France, Norway, Germany, Canada, Brazil and Australia are also nominated.

Meanwhile, a number of special accolades, Performance of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and The Golden Rose, will be handed out.
All three will be revealed ahead of the ceremony, and German TV comedy icon Maren Kroymann will be recognised with the lifetime achievement prize.
