Kieron Richardson is "in love more than ever" after getting married.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor tied the knot with his long-term boyfriend Carl Hyland in a lavish ceremony in the Peak District last month and he’s revealed he now feels closer to him than ever before.
Speaking at the British Academy Television Awards at London’s Theatre Royal yesterday (10.05.15), Kieron exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We got back off the honeymoon in the early hours of this morning so it’s been a bit of a whirlwind to leave my new husband and then come straight here and we’ve got a very busy week this week.
"But we had a great time in Egypt on the honeymoon and we’re in love more than ever. It’s weird how marriage brings you together even more, that we went through this special thing together."
The 29-year-old star, who plays Ste Hay in the Channel 4 soap, is looking forward to spending some more quality time with his new husband while on a break from filming.
Asked if he was planning to take time off, he explained: "Well I’m doing that right now … Well not time off. I’m not filming this week but we’re doing this and then we’re leading up to the soap awards so it’s like a huge tour of doing lots of things this week and then it’s straight back to filming."
