Kevin Clifton says lockdown is like ‘stopping for Christmas’

Kevin Clifton has likened the coronavirus lockdown to "when you stop for Christmas".

The 37-year-old dancer has been taking it easier than usual during lockdown, admitting he’s been switching from working out intensely some days to doing "nothing" on other days.

Discussing his personal experience of lockdown, Kevin – who has been dating his former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner Stacey Dooley since 2019 – told FUBAR Radio: "I suppose when you go from working, working, working, working on that to nothing, it’s like when you stop for Christmas isn’t it?

"Suddenly you’re just doing nothing and eating!"

Stacey, 33 – who met her boyfriend on ‘Strictly’ – previously revealed she’s already thought about having children with Kevin.

The duo have been spending the lockdown together, and Stacey thinks he would make an "amazing father".

She said: "He is an angel.

"He is the kindest man I’ve met. His temperament is very chilled and he would be an amazing father."

However, the TV presenter has concerns about starting a family after witnessing "morbid" social issues during her career.

Stacy – who has made documentaries about issues such as child labour and the plight of women in developing countries – explained: "I think I want to have kids I’m sort of back and forth.

"I love the idea of having a gang, a unit, an us against the world. I love all that. And I would to take care of someone.

"But I’m also quite morbid and because I’ve seen so much s**t, I think what am I bringing them into."
