Kesha helps same-sex couple get engaged

Kesha has helped a same-sex couple get engaged.
The 29-year-old singer helped Joseph Negrelli propose to his boyfriend Naveed in front of a packed audience during her One Magical Weekend festival performance at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida, which is part of Disney’s Gay Days celebration.
Joseph explained: "We had booked our tickets to go to the One Magical weekend stuff, and then they announced that Kesha was performing.
"I had been wanting to propose for a while, just was not sure how to do it, so I just decided to message her on Instagram and never thinking in a million years she’d ever get back to me, and then she did! She put me in touch with her manager, and tried to hammer out the details from there."
Joseph had to be secretive with her husband-to-be as he prepared for the dramatic proposal.
He told Billboard: "[My family and friends] helped keep Naveed distracted – he had no idea.
"Every once in a while I had to go meet with some of the producers at Disney who were putting on the show, and I had to disappear, so they had to make up some excuses of where I was."
To arrange the magical moment, Joseph told his boyfriend they’d won a competition to meet Kesha and so they climbed on the stage together, while wearing blindfolds.
Joseph said: "Everything was so surreal. They call it One Magical Weekend – there was nothing else that could have described what happened. It was just absolutely magical."
Kesha has previously spoken of her support for same-sex marriages, insisting people should be free to live their life however they choose.
She said: "My message today is don’t be afraid to speak up against any injustice you experience.
"Don’t let people scare or shame you into changing the things about you that make you unique."
