Kerry Katona wants winter Love Island hosting job after Caroline Flack steps down for

Kerry Katona wants to replace Caroline Flack on ‘Love Island’.
The former Atomic Kitten singer has voiced her support for the 40-year-old star – who has stepped down from the upcoming winter edition of the ITV2 dating series after she was arrested following a domestic dispute with boyfriend Lewis Burton – while also throwing her own name into the hat.
While admitting the show won’t "be the same" without its long-running host, she tweeted: "Pick me.. pick me!! I’ll stand in!!!
"mmmmm just don’t think it will be the same without the flack!!! We all make mistakes!!
"I hope the Industry let’s her back as quick as they would if it was a man… xxxxx (sic)"
Caroline has been at the helm of the programme since its relaunch in 2015, and she confirmed this week she won’t be part of the next series.
She said: "’Love Island’ has been my world for the last five years, it’s the best show on telly.
"In order to not detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is to stand down for series six.
"I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town."
Caroline has been released on bail and is due to appear at Highbury Corner magistrates’ court on December 23, while the star was due to begin filming in South Africa early next month.
A spokesperson for Caroline previously confirmed the incident and said: "We confirm that police attended Caroline’s home following a private domestic incident. She is co-operating with the appropriate people to resolve matters. We will not be making any further comment for legal reasons."
