Kelly Brook wants to host Great British Bake Off

Kelly Brook wants to be the next presenter of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ following the news that Sandi Toksvig is stepping down from the role.
The Channel 4 baking competition is currently hosted by both Sandi and Noel Fielding, but after the 61-year-old presenter announced on Thursday (16.01.20) she would be stepping down, the hunt is on for a new star to take her place.
And now, Kelly has thrown her hat in the ring, saying she’s "available" if producers of the show want to contact her.
Speaking on Heart London Drivetime with JK and Kelly Brook on Thursday, she said: "[Sandi’s] hilarious. I really liked her. I liked all of them actually the whole experience was pretty incredible."
To which her co-host JK responded: "Two things. Brook for Bake Off is the first thing. Hashtag it now."
And Kelly agreed, adding: "I’m available. My agent said my greatest asset is my availability."
The 40-year-old model already has some experience in the ‘Bake Off’ tent too, as she will star in the upcoming special celebrity edition of the show, which will form part of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer charity event.
Meanwhile, Sandi announced she is leaving ‘Bake Off’ after three years and 51 showstoppers in order to work on other projects, including Channel 4 adult literacy series ‘The Write Offs’.
She said in a statement: "When stepping down from a job it is quite common for people to say they are doing so in order to spend more time with their family.
"Unusually I am departing from ‘The Great British Bake Off’ so I can spend more time with my other work.
"As my waistline will testify, ‘Bake Off’ is an all-consuming show."
Sandi admitted it has been one of the "great pleasures of [her] life" spending time with her co-host Noel Fielding, and judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
She added: "Spending time with Prue, Paul and Noel has been one of the great pleasures of my life.
"These are friendships which I know will continue beyond the confines of television.
"’Bake Off’ is a wonderful programme which has already proved it can happily withstand a change of hosting personnel.
"The reason for that, of course, is that the true stars of the show are the bakers themselves. I wish everyone well."
