Kelly Brook missed EastEnders while living in LA

Kelly Brook used to miss ‘EastEnders’ when she lived in Los Angeles.

The 40-year-old model has admitted she loved living in LA but couldn’t wait to get home and see what had been going on in Albert Square, while chowing down on a plate of beans on toast.

She said: "I’m such a British girl.

"I love LA, but I love beans on toast, and cups of tea, and ‘EastEnders’, and I love my mates, and I love the pub.

"There’s all those things you leave behind."

While Kelly – who previously dated Jason Statham – admitted she still loves to visit the City of Angels, she will not be moving back there anytime soon.

Speaking on Vicky Pattison’s ‘The Secret to Surviving Isolation’ podcast, she added: "It is great and I love visiting, but I just don’t want to live there.

"It was an amazing adventure, but I always see my life as chapters and I wouldn’t want to go back to try and recreate that because it would never be the same.

"You spend all the wages flying people out to see you."

Kelly’s comments come after California-born superstar singer Katy Perry admitted she loves to tune into ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Coronation Street’ when she is on tour in the UK.

She said: "I am obsessed with this country.

"I fall in love with the English very easily.

"I like to watch ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘EastEnders’.

"I have spent so much time in the UK … from writing songs in Surrey to going to Topshop for the very first time.

"I was so excited … I went to Oxford Street when I first came to London about 12 years ago.

"In the US Topshop wasn’t open yet … we had H&M but not Topshop.

"I went to pay and then my card was declined. I only had about $100 on it anyway but someone had defrauded me.

"It happens … it was my first memory of London … going to Topshop and leaving empty handed.

"I know poor me. Poor little pop star on the stage at The O2. Horrible."

And, like Kelly, Katy also admitted she is a huge fan of "going to the pub", and "eating baked beans".
