Kellie Bright’s ‘daunting’ EastEnders two-hander

Kellie Bright felt "daunted" about filming an ‘EastEnders’ two-hander.
The ‘EastEnders’ star – who plays Linda Carter on the BBC One soap – and Ricky Champ (Stuart Highway) are to appear in a special episode involving just the two of them on December 13, and while the 42-year-old actress admits it would’ve been "different" filming the ep with on-screen husband Danny Dyer (Mick Carter), she had a great time with Ricky.
She said: "I was really honoured. There’s something special about the two-handers and they don’t come along very often.
"I also felt daunted because we work so quickly here and you don’t get any extra time so it was a lot of preparation but I loved it.
"There was mixed emotions as I think I would’ve felt differently had it been with Danny, as I’m not used to working with Ricky as much – but I have to say he is absolutely brilliant and I really enjoyed it."
Linda has recently been getting close to Stuart in a bid to get a confession out of him to clear husband Mick after he was banged up for shooting his former friend, despite being innocent.
And Kellie was so captivated by the script for the two-hander episode, she read it "like a book" to build her excitement.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com, she added: "There is a plan and it doesn’t just involve her hearing Stuart confess. There is more to it than that.
"All I’ll say is when I got the script I read it like a book and was really excited.
"It’s very dynamic and has a lot in it, because with two-handers it’s only two people talking for half an hour so you have to make it exciting to watch. And it is!"
Ricky recently revealed he had filmed an ‘EastEnders’ two-hander, and admitted it was one of the "proudest" moments of his TV career.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "What I will tell you is an episode I had to do that I finished shooting a couple of weeks ago is one of the proudest things I’ve ever done on TV.
"I haven’t even seen it yet but I’m that proud of it. It’s such an amount of work I had to do.
"It’s a two-hander, but I’m not going to tell you who with."
