Kellie Bright cooks vegan loaf cake and roast to start Veganuary stint

Kellie Bright started her Veganuary stint by chowing down on a vegan loaf cake and a vegan roast.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress is going vegan for the month of January, and she kick-started her new eating plan by cooking up a meat-free roast dinner on New Year’s Day (01.01.20) before sitting back to tune into the BBC One soap’s one-hour flashback special, which saw her character Linda Carter help Martin Fowler (James Bye) stage the death of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
Kellie wrote on Twitter: "Firstly, a HUGE thank you for all the [love] for last nights ep. Secondly, I want to wish you all a happy and healthy 2020. Thirdly, how many of you started @veganuary today? I started my day with a vegan loaf cake and tonight I made a vegan roast – yum! & a dog walk in the middle (sic)"
EastEnders’ New Year’s Eve (31.12.19) episode focused entirely on Kellie’s character Linda’s battle with alcohol and was told from her point of view.
It comes after Kellie – who is an ambassador for Veganuary – recently revealed she is planning to try not to buy any clothes in 2020 in an attempt to improve her carbon footprint, but she expects it to be a tough ask.
She said: "I have decided I’m going to try not to buy any clothes next year, as a way of reducing my carbon footprint – fast fashion has a huge impact on the environment.
"I don’t need any clothes, so I should be able to get through a year without buying anything.
"That will be hard for me though, as I do love a garment."
