Kavana has signed up for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 37-year-old 90s singer has been recruited by Channel 5 bosses, who hope he can shed some light on what happened to his friend Mel B, 39, earlier this month, after she spent time in hospital and went on a break from her husband of seven years, Stephen Belafonte.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Kavana is the man who will know her secrets and no doubt the other stars will grill him to find out the truth about what has gone on."
The ‘I Can Make You Feel Good’ often appeared on television shows alongside the Spice Girls and the pair shared the same record label in the 90s.
Other celebrities expected to enter the house include Keith Chegwin, 57, Calum Best, 33, Perez Hilton, 36, ‘Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison, 27 and ‘The Apprentice’s Katie Hopkins, 39.
Meanwhile, a date change earlier this week left the series in crisis.
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ was originally meant to finish at the end of January but was extended a week until February 6, meaning some of the celebrities who signed up are reportedly now telling bosses they can’t appear in the show as they have work lined up in early February.
The late departures have caused a panic for the show’s producers, who are desperately looking for last-minute replacements, which may include ‘X Factor’s Chloe Jasmine Whichello, 24, and US reality star Austin Armacost, 26.
