Katy Perry’s alleged stalker arrested

A man has been arrested for stalking Katy Perry.
Miami Police have charged Pawel Jurski – a 37-year-old man from Poland – with four counts – including aggravated stalking and escape, as well as loitering and resisting arrest – after he followed the pop star "all across the country" and attempted to get backstage at her gig at the American Airless Arena on Wednesday (20.12.17) night.
According to the police report, which was read out by Judge Mindy Glazer during a bond hearing yesterday afternoon, Mr. Jurski attempted to sneak into the restricted area of the venue and claimed he would do whatever it took to be with the singer.
Judge Mindy told the court: "He says he’s going to do whatever it takes to be with Katy Perry. He follows this woman around the country."
Mr. Jurski’s lawyer claimed his behaviour was normal as Deadheads follow the rock band the Grateful Dead all around the country, but Judge Mindy interrupted and said: "This is not the Grateful Dead. This is a woman who is performing and he says he is going to do whatever it means – whatever it takes – to be with her."
The police report also stated that the stalker first tried to contact the 33-year-old star at two of her shows in Canada and has attended her gigs in in Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago and Grand Rapids within the past 20 days.
Katy is yet to comment on the situation but recently reflected on the past year.
She said: "I’m writing you from Miami, prepping my last Witness: The Tour show of 2017. I’m reflecting on a year that has redefined what winning means to me. And the definition of winning for me this year was simply happiness and gratitude. This year has made me more appreciative than ever for my listeners, my KatyCats.
"After a year of peaks and valleys (remember, it’s all a journey), I wanted to end 2017 with a fun, triumphant piece of pop candy. Just think of it as a glam little stocking stuffer from me to you. ‘Hey Hey Hey’ is one of my favorite songs from ‘Witness’ and for me, it embodies the fighting spirit I always want you to be able to find within yourself, and to see in me."
