Katie Price has been going through an "emotional rollercoaster".
The 35-year-old star revealed she was six months pregnant with her husband Kieran Hayler’s second child just days before it emerged he’d been having an affair with her close friend Jane Pountney, but she insists she’s got the strength to "bounce back".
In her column with Now magazine, she explained: "It’s fair to say the first couple of weeks haven’t been particularly great for me. It has been – and still is – an emotional rollercoaster. But as with everything in life that’s been thrown at me, I will deal with it. And, as always, I’ll bounce back once again. It just may take a while this time."
Katie – who has son Harvey, 12, with former boyfriend Dwight Yorke, son Junior, eight, and six-year-old daughter Princess with ex-husband Peter Andre and nine-month-old Jett with Kieran – doesn’t understand why she’s had criticism for mothering children from different men.
She added: "I’ve taken a bit of stick because I have children by different men. I wouldn’t be the only person to find this rather woman-hating – how often are men criticised for the same? I haven’t cheated, or walked out on, any of the fathers of my children. Like many other mums who’ve been left alone, I’ve got on with my life. Maybe they think I should have curled up and given up on life? No chance!"
