Katie Price found out the sex of her baby without her husband Kieran Hayler.
The 35-year-old star revealed she was six months pregnant with her husband’s second child just days before it emerged he’d been having an affair with her close friend Jane Pountney, and she’s now said to have left him behind when she visited her doctor to discover whether they’ll be having a son or a daughter.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It was a bittersweet journey for Katie but she was so excited to find out she’s having another daughter.
"Of course Kieran should have been with her, but things have changed."
The former glamour model was reportedly warned by her doctor on an earlier visit to try to keep her stress levels down, and although the news of Kieran’s affair has made that more difficult, she’s said to be committed to staying healthy for her new daughter.
The source explained: "For days after she found out about Kieran she could barely stomach food, she was so heartbroken. But she’s determined now to stay fit and healthy for her little girl.
"She just wants things to be as normal as they can possibly be for the rest of the pregnancy. She was so excited to find out she’s having another daughter."
However, Katie – who has sons Harvey, 12, Junior, eight, and six-year-old daughter Princess from previous relationships and 9-month-old son Jett with Kieran – reportedly still wants her husband to be by her side during the birth.
