Katie Price "knows" her husband, Kieran Hayler, will never cheat on her again.
The 36-year-old former glamour model was left heartbroken earlier this year when she found out the personal trainer – who she wed in January 2013 – had cheated on her with pals Jane Pountney and Chrissy Thomas, and although she admits her marriage will never be the same, she is confident her beau will remain faithful.
She said: "I still tell him our marriage is like a crumpled piece of white paper. No amount of ironing will get out those creases, but it’s what we have. We went to zero and we can only start rebuilding. What I know is he will never cheat again."
Despite having now reconciled with the 27-year-old hunk, the mother-of-five confessed 2014 has been devastating for her, especially as it took a long time for her husband to come clean about the full extent of what he had done, and lied to a "hardcore therapist".
Speaking about the therapy sessions with the professional, who typically deals with "murderers and criminals" she explained: "She said she couldn’t deal with him. Because he wouldn’t stop lying and because he couldn’t admit to everything he’d done, he was blocking any chance of moving on."
Eventually, Katie – who has kids Harvey, 12, Princess, nine, and Junior, seven, from previous relationships and 16-month-old Jett and four-month-old Bunny with Kieran – resorted to a lie detector test in a last ditch attempt to uncover the truth.
She continued: "Once Kieran started to admit everything, he just broke down. The other thing was he saw everything he could lose and he didn’t want to lose it. I hated him for what he did, but I knew if we got past this problem we could move on."
Although the businesswoman says she "won’t forgive him and I won’t forget" she knows it was a "complicated" situation, and is now looking forward to renewing their wedding vows in 2015.
She added to Fabulous magazine: "I have never cheated on anyone after taking marriage vows. I hate cheats and I won’t tolerate them, but with Kieran it was more complicated."
