Katie Piper admits acid attack injuries are making Strictly difficult

Katie Piper admitted her injuries have made ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ training more difficult.
The TV star – who was attacked with sulphuric acid a decade ago – received a number of skin grafts to treat her burns effects after the horrific incident, and she has some concerns now that rehearsals have got underway.
She told the Mirror: "The respiratory problem makes training a bit harder. I tried to practise some steps and can’t really move my head back because of a band of scar tissue that starts at the top of my head."
The 34-year-old star – who was put in an induced coma for 12 days and left partially blind following the attack – is also nervous about how viewers will take to her performances.
She said: "Everyone will be like, ‘Why’s she pulling that funny face?’ and I’ll be like, ‘No, that’s my face!’ "
While Katie will find it difficult because of her eyesight, she revealed she is ready to try even harder to make sure she’s a success on the ballroom floor.
She added: "It will be hard with my eyesight. If you cover one eye and think you can’t see your peripheral, that is harder with dancing, steps and anticipating your partner.
"I’m like an elephant with no rhythm. When I was practising, I was stamping on feet and banging into people."
The former model has been confirmed for the upcoming ‘Strictly’ series, alongside the likes of Blue singer Lee Ryan, Ashley Roberts, Stacey Dooley, Dr. Ranj Singh and Graeme Swann.
