Katie McGlynn woke up next to her NTA

Katie McGlynn slept next to her National Television Award.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star scooped the Serial Drama Performance accolade at last night’s ceremony, which took place at London’s The O2 last night (28.01.20), for her portrayal of Sinead Osbourne, and she feels "so humbled" to have been given the prize.
She wrote on Twitter: "It’s not every morning you wake up next to an NTA award!!! Honestly so humbled & full of love right now, thank you all so much for voting & to team @itvcorrie, you’ve been the most amazing place to call home for 7 years! I cannot tell you how much this means to me #NTAs (sic)"
Katie dedicated the gong to women who are going through cervical cancer.
Speaking to the crowd at the event, she said: "I wanted to dedicate this award to any woman who is going through cervical cancer right now, who has gone through cervical cancer, all the families that are going through it. Stay strong, and thank you very much."
Ahead of the ceremony, Katie admitted she felt as though she had already won just by being nominated.
Speaking to ‘Lorraine’ on the red carpet, she said: "I do feel like I’ve already won, it’s just so nice to be nominated.
"And to be the only girl."
Katie beat off competition from Emmerdale’s Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle), ‘EastEnders’ actor Danny Dyer (Mick Carter), and ‘Hollyoaks’ star Gregory Finnegan (James Nightingale).
Following her success, her former ‘Corrie’ co-star Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price) took to Twitter to heap praise on her.
She wrote: "Congratulations to my gal @KatiexMcGlynn !!!!! So deserved!! Exciting year ahead for you missy (sic)"
