Karim Zeroual to do Stranger Things inspired Strictly Come Dancing routine

Karim Zeroual is set to do a ‘Stranger Things’ inspired dance on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ tonight (26.10.19).
The 25-year-old actor and CBBC star will take to the dance floor with his professional partner Amy Dowden during tonight’s episode of the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition, and as it’s the annual Halloween special, they’ll be taking inspiration from the supernatural Netflix show.
Karim and Amy will be dancing a Paso Doble to ‘Smalltown Boy’ by Bronski Beat, and have teased it will have an 80s vibe and will involve a trip to the "Upside Down", which is a reference to ‘Stranger Things’.
During an appearance on ‘Strictly’ sister show ‘It Takes Two’ on Friday (25.10.19), show host Rylan Clark-Neal asked: "I’ve heard there is a ‘Stranger Things’ characterisation going on. What’s happening?"
And Amy replied: "Absolutely, we may be going into the…", before Karim finished off by adding: "Upside Down."
Karim hopes he can do the routine "justice".
He said: "It’s brilliant, it’s a huge series, so hopefully we can do it justice, as well as doing the Paso justice."
Although they’re putting a ‘Stranger Things’ inspired twist on their dance, Amy and Karim have insisted they’ll still be performing a "traditional Paso".
When asked if they’ll be getting up to any tricks, Amy said: "We are keeping it a traditional Paso this weekend, with the ‘Stranger Things’ element added."
Whilst Karim explained: "We just like to show a bit of light and shade. We like to show that sometimes we can go out and just do a full Paso or a full Tango, straight down the line. And sometimes we want to entertain the audience – if we’ve got some tricks, it’s nice for them to see it, why not?"
