Kanye West’s children think he is "away".
The 39-year-old singer was rushed to hospital on Monday (21.11.16) with exhaustion and has remained in UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California, this week, however it has been reported his three-year-old daughter North and 11-month-old son Saint – who he has with his wife Kim Kardashian West – don’t know their parent is in hospital and think he is just on a trip.
Speaking about the ‘Famous’ rapper and his brood, a source told E! News: "North and Saint [West] just think their dad is away now. Kanye wants to get better, so that’s a big part in this healing process.
"Kanye is trying to get better, but he has not been released yet because he and the doctors feel he needs more time to recover.
"Kim is by his side now and will stand there till everything gets better."
Although the 36-year-old television personality has reportedly not left Kanye’s side, and was with her partner for "a while" on Thursday (24.11.16), she plans on enjoying a Thanksgiving meal with her family after her hospital visit.
The source added: "Kim is indeed with him and will be by his side for a while today. She plans on going to eat with her family later and the kids."
And the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star is feeling "overwhelmed" with Kanye’s hospitalisation, although she is trying her "best" to cope.
The source said: "Kim is overwhelmed but is doing the best she can."
The mother-of-two – who was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, France, earlier this year – strongly believes the musician will overcome this and vows to do all she can to help her husband because he supported her during her horrific ordeal.
Speaking previously, another source said: "She is just holding things down like Kanye did for her when she needed support.
"Kim is doing much better and is strong. This shall pass she believes."
"Their time together was just about support. Kanye will be ok. He has a good set of doctors and the main thing is he wants to get through this."
Meanwhile, Kanye’s doctor has banned him from having a phone or computer whilst he remains in hospital.
