Justin Timberlake’s birthday surprise for Ellen DeGeneres

Justin Timberlake surprised Ellen DeGeneres with flowers for her 60th birthday.
The 36-year-old singer took a break from his preparations for the Super Bowl halftime show to wish the talk show host a happy birthday in a surprise video call which will be broadcast on her big day on Friday (26.01.18).
He said: "Hey baby. I’m rehearing for the Super Bowl, rehearsing for the tour. I’m so sorry I can’t be there to kick off your birthday week. You know I’d like to be there but I need to make sure we are great."
While the ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ singer refused to confirm any gossip about special guests at his performance at the flagship NFL game next month, he did invite Ellen to join him.
He said: "You’re welcome to come out with me if you want. You’re very good at dancing too."
But the popular presenter – who is married to Portia De Rossi – quickly declined and said: "You’re sweet and no."
Justin then told Ellen he had sent her something, and a production assistant rushed out from backstage to deliver her a bouquet of pink peonies.
Ellen said: "Well, aren’t you sweet. Thank you so much, that’s so sweet."
She then asked Justin – who has two year old son Silas with wife Jessica Biel – if he could send her a secret sign at the Super Bowl.
The ‘SexyBack’ singer replied: "I know there’s a lot going on but during the performance, could you give some kind of signal so I know you’re thinking of me? Like a dance move and a rubbing of the stomach… in a sexual way?"
He agreed: "Well, you are my other girl. Although that feels creepy doesn’t it."
Justin signed off the call with a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ with his band The Tennessee Kids.
But that wasn’t the only musical treat Ellen received.
Her guest Kristen Bell – who has joined Ellen on her past two birthday shows – gifted her friend with a shirt bearing the slogan "It took 60 years to look this good" and then introduced her husband Dax Shepard, who had created an original song about how the host made 60 look "so sexy".
The actor, wearing a white tuxedo, sang: "Happy birthday, Ellen. I can’t believe you’re turning 60 but I have to say 60 has never look so sexy.
"I know Portia’s your girl, but if you were single and straight I’d rock your world."
Other lyrics from the tribute included, "Even when you had a perm, you were fine as hell", and, "If I could be with you, I’d be the luckiest guy then you could hook me up with a cheque from Shutterfly."
