Justin Bieber’s Cold Water gets release date

Justin Bieber and Major Lazer will release their new song ‘Cold Water’ next Friday (22.07.16).
The ‘Sorry’ hitmaker has taken to Twitter to tease the new tune and showed he was jumping with joy to share it with his fans as he posted a picture of himself and Diplo – who is the lead member of the electronic dance outfit – doing backflips on a trampoline.
Alongside the GIF, he wrote: "#coldwater new single with @MAJORLAZER next Friday (sic)"
Diplo first announced they’d worked on the track last month when he said he had tried desperately to persuade Bieber to make the the song "indie".
At the time, he said: "It’s complicated because we want to do it indie. And convincing Team Bieber to do that is hard.
"We don’t need to have some guy tell us, ‘Oh, this is what the market research says’, I’m on the ground, I see it."
The 37-year-old producer – whose real name is Thomas Pentz – only found out they were going to put their track out through Twitter as he admits he has no other means to contact the pop bad boy.
He explained: "I was like, ‘F***, I have to tweet back now.’
"The song isn’t really done, but he’s excited. It’s actually very real. Twitter is the only reason I know he’s excited about the song. I don’t have his number, so he Twitters me."
‘Cold Water’ is the second collaboration from the pair, the follow-up to 2015’s smash hit ‘Where Are U Now’.
