Juliette Lewis ‘riddled’ with pre-tour ‘nerves’

Juliette Lewis is "riddled with nerves" ahead of The Licks upcoming tour.
The 42-year-old singer-and-actress is gearing up for her band’s first European tour since 2008, and although she can’t wait to take to the stage with her bandmates again later this month she’s suffering from some anxiety.
She said: "So I’m f***ing riddled with nerves right now!
"But, you know, thank God for nervousness. I would be nervous if I didn’t feel nervous. Because that nervousness is excitement. It’s anticipation. It’s energy. And at the end of the day, when I’m out there I just want to be able to surrender to the moment. It’s what I try to do in acting, too. I’m just striving for truth."
The ‘Hot Kiss’ hitmaker has also revealed her band now has the "greatest rhythm section" in the form of Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk on drums and Juan Alderete from Mars Volta on bass and The Licks co-founder Todd Morse and Nick Maybury – who was in the late Scott Weiland’s band Wildabouts – on guitar.
The ‘Hard Lovin’ Woman’ singer told Rolling Stone magazine: "I’ve got the greatest rhythm section now that anyone could ask for – I’ve got Brad Wilk from Rage Against the Machine on drums and Juan Alderete from the Mars Volta playing bass. It’s always been my dream to have a monster rhythm section that’s just all groove and pocket. And that’s what I’ve got with these two. Then I have Todd Morse, who is my original collaborator and who I started the Licks with, on guitar, and another guitarist named Nick Maybury, who played in Scott Weiland’s last band."
