Julianne Moore doesn’t control her destiny

Julianne Moore thinks she faces an uncertain future.
The award-winning actress said that although people like to think they have complete control over their own destiny, she doesn’t believe it to be the case.
She shared: "We all like the idea that we can control our lives, but we don’t know what is going to happen.
"Relationships are like a living thing. Individuals are disparate and desire is strange and unpredictable, so that idea that we know what is going to happen and can produce certain outcomes is a fallacy."
The twice-married actress divorced her first husband, John Gould Rubin, in 1995 and admitted it was a miserable experience.
Julianne reflected: "Ask anyone who has been divorced and they’ll tell you it’s miserable.
"It’s hard, no matter what. Relationships are challenging. I think some people make it and some don’t; some people split up and wish they hadn’t, and some stay together and wish they had split up. There are so many variables."
Meanwhile, Julianne – who won an Oscar for her starring role in ‘Still Alice’ – revealed she keeps her most-coveted award in an unremarkable place, even though she considers it to be a huge honour.
She told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "I keep the Oscar in my office. That’s boring, right?
"It’s a wonderful honour. You can’t take that kind of stuff for granted, and the fact that it’s an industry award, which means all these people in your business had to bother to tick the box next to your name … well, it’s a lovely feeling."
