Julia Roberts’ husband flew from New Zealand to surprise her while she was working.
The 48-year-old actress was Facetiming her cinematographer husband from the set of her latest movie ‘Mother’s Day when he revealed that he was secretly waiting at her hotel to visit her and their three children, Hazel and Phinnaeus, 10, and Henry, eight.
She told Extra: "We were Facetiming, I was at work and he was in New Zealand. And then he said ‘wait I have something to show you’ and the phone panned up and he was with our three kids, who had been in my hotel while I was working. That’s when I realised he was in town to surprise me."
While Julia was thrilled with the surprise, she admitted she was also embarrassed because she was wearing an unflattering wig for her role in the new movie.
She explained: "I was so embarrassed in my wig, I was like, ‘What? Oh my god!’"
Julia and Danny, 47, have been married since 2002, after meeting on the set of 2000’s ‘The Mexican’.
Julia previously praised Danny for making her "genuinely happy" and believes a lot of her success is down to him and his skills.
She said: "I don’t know if I would have succeeded in some of the efforts that I made if he hadn’t been in such close physical proximity to me. There’s something about having the safest place in the world for you in the same room."
